part of me wants to rp again because haunting around the cdj scene without being in a game is like haunting the high school when you graduated 5 years ago. its creepy. but i'm an asshole and cant focus on all the shit there is to know and i have Personal Prejudices against the city of new york and excuses etc.
however: i wanna play a character who belonged to the city and, like water, seeped through the cracks and flooded people's basements or something. but they got the superpower shaft and only has the ability to get super sloppy drunk and then be perfectly content and normal after 15 minutes.
i want to portray it because this weekend i have noticed that it seems to happen to me all the fucking time. even with my good friend JACK i can't stay drunk. i get happy and talkative and i have super pee powers or whatever because i normal out too fucking quickly. my superhero name? Untoxicated.

to all of the people i am friends with that watched lost:
i kind of started watching that and then we forgot that it was SUNDAY CARTOON NIGHT so we watched family guy and drank whiskey instead. and then i didn't take the train home, and we watched half blood prince. which i have never seen before because i am a terrible harry potter fan.

the laptop i use (donated by anna's rich as fuck texan family to the likes of struggling young female me who lives in the big city and is Just Trying To Make It In The World) will not recognize or run my netgear internet connection. i cannot get my laptop online. tried reinstalling the software, still not working. so i need to take a lil hiatus. i'm sorry.
happily i've gotten my tax return and intend to force my mam to help me buy a nice new laptop because my birthday is coming up.
i am going to be obsessive about the bruins game tonight. |

ok but
the greek philosopher aristotle once wrote: "haters gonna hate" - truly an adage which has withstood the test of time, as it is still used today, albeit in differing colloquial terminology. in his book, ethics, aristotle discusses the different characters types: the virtuous character, the continent and incontinent characters, and the vicious character. all types have their own different levels of morality, but for the purpose of this entry i will focus on the virtuous character by comparing and contrasting it to the other character types.
hypothetical situation: you're walking down the street one day and you happen to see an illegal cockfight. right there on the street and everything. its like 6 o'clock at night too this aint no back alley midnight cockfight or anything.
the virtuous character, let's say his name is frankie muniz, is a just and fair person. frankie muniz has a very clear moral distinction between right and wrong, and not only does what is right in any given situation, but does so because he feels that it is the right thing to do without hesitation. there is no doubt in frankie muniz's head to call the police and break up the illegal cockgfight: he knows that cockfighting is terrible, wrong, and really a total waste of money because you just KNOW that they feed their roosters steroids like fucking crazy.
now, the continent character, let's say her name is danielle steele, does what is right, knows right and wrong, but essentially has some doubts. danielle steele would see the cockfight and would call the police to break it up, but she would have to fight against her own desire to get some CASH MONEY from the outcome of the fight. the incontient character, for example, alec baldwin, can tell the difference between right and wrong but ultimately succumbs to his desire to see the cockfight. even though he knows it is wrong to watch these glorified cock-a-doodle-doo bastards fighting each other, alec baldwin doesn't make a move to call the police or anything. and the vicious character, danny devito, doesn't care about the difference between right and wrong. he just goes for it. rhea perlman is riding his ass about money again.
at least, this is my understanding about aristotle's ethical character types. but there's one thing that i cant seem to clear up, from a philosophical standpoint.
people refuse to tie religion and philosophy together, but the ninth commandment in the bible does say love thy neighbor, even if they be hatin'. but that doesn't apply here nor there, except to fuel along my point.
andbutso, would a virtuous person let a hater continue to hate because it is morally wrong not to? is it morally wrong at all to stop a hater from hatin'? aren't all people granted the right to hate if they want to hate? where do morals tie in when a hater is hatin'? granted, love thy neighbor pretty much just means tolerate that hater. but the point still applies. should one tolerate thy hater because the bible says it is morally right, or just because it is morally wrong to sock em in the jaw?
and my real question is, how long does frankie muniz have to deal with danny devito before he just gives up and spouts another familiar adage (this one, the immortal words of german enlightenment philosopher immanuel kant): haters to the left?
